Choiba Cabins takes its name from the signature tree of Choco. IN the indigenous language of the region, Choiba means "the big tree." The Choiba tree can grow to be approximately 75 to 120 feet in height, dominating the canopy of the jungle. The Choiba's scientific name is Dicterys Panamency which means "two wings." The great fragmentation that man has in his systematic vision of the world stops him from perceiving and living a live Inter-existencial in which everything and everyone fits in to make one totality. This fragmentation is presented in art, science, philosophy, religion as wells as in physical biological, intellectual, spiritual, and spatial levels. For man to transcend and accompany the universe as a being, he must first eradicate the limitations caused by his fragmented view of the world and learn to see totalities -- to return to a holistic vision of the universe. The philosophy and objective to develop a project like Choiba Cabins is to generate comprehension and sensitivity in man with respect to the general universe, giving importance to the tropical jungle in particular for life on the planet. Choiba cabins wishes to achieve this goal as well as give you a great opportunity to enjoy the sea and jungles.
